RelayPBX Acceptable Use Policy

These rules protect users, call recipients and shared infrastructure from fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.

01

Lawful use

The Customer uses RelayPBX only in compliance with law, the Terms, carrier agreements and third-party rights, and is responsible for tenants, users, devices, trunks, numbers, routing, content and traffic from its account.

02

Prohibited conduct

  • telecom fraud, extortion, phishing, vishing, harassment, threats or impersonation;
  • unsolicited campaigns, automated calls or messages without required authority and consent;
  • unlawful manipulation of Caller ID, PAI, Diversion, X-Headers or emergency numbers;
  • unauthorised interception, eavesdropping, recording, PCAP or content access;
  • malware, scanning, bypass attempts, credential stuffing, denial of service or cross-tenant interference;
  • circumvention of licensing, limits, billing, retention, audit or access controls;
  • infringement of copyright, privacy, communications secrecy or personal rights;
  • resale, service bureau or white-label use without the appropriate edition and authority.
03

Calling, number presentation and campaigns

The Customer uses numbers it is entitled to use, honours suppression lists, contact hours and identification rules, and legally and technically controls automated campaigns. A configurable header does not establish that its value is lawful. RelayPBX may block patterns indicating toll fraud, spoofing or mass abuse.

04

Emergency calling

Location must not be falsified and test traffic must not reach a live emergency centre outside an agreed process. The Customer configures and safely tests carrier, number, location, failover and power. RelayPBX is not itself an emergency carrier.

05

Account and device security

Strong unique passwords, administrator MFA, restricted ACLs, supported firmware/software, post-incident secret rotation and no account sharing are required. Public SIP must be restricted under the documentation. Compromise must be reported promptly to security@relaypbx.com.

06

Resources and fair use

The Customer must not exceed purchased capacity or bypass limits. Managed load tests require advance scope and timing approval. Self-hosted installations must not automate excessive or unauthorised use of licensing, update or support infrastructure.

07

Content and data

No unlawful or unnecessary content may be supplied. Sensitive data, secrets and payment-card data require an approved process. Support forms must not contain full card data, passwords, PINs or private keys.

08

Detection and enforcement

RelayPBX may use limits, alerts, blocks and metadata analysis to protect service. Credible abuse may lead to restricting a function, tenant, account, token or source. Notice and cure are used where risk permits; active fraud, attack or danger may be isolated immediately. Active calls are protected unless continuation itself creates direct danger or illegality.

09

Reports and appeal

Report abuse to support@relaypbx.com and vulnerabilities to security@relaypbx.com. Include identifiers, time, redacted numbers and evidence without secrets. Customers may appeal restrictions through support with remediation evidence. RelayPBX cooperates with competent authorities where legally required.
